What is Microsoft Access Database

A database is data collection which is stored in computer system. It allows the users to access and analyze the data there in a quick and easy way. It is a useful tool that you can operate them in all the time in your computer system. Have you ever watched when the doctor's receptionist enters your personal information into a computer, or watched an employee using a computer to see the available item in the stock? If so, then it is a sample way of using a database. There is an easy and simple way to understand about database; try to think that it is like a collection of data list. For example, think about the database of patient information in the doctor's receptionist computer system. Do you know what the lists contained? There is a list of patients' name, their medical history in each patient, the list of their past appointments, a list of personal or contact information, and so on which are listed carefully and organized.

 

All the databases have their function and uses, from the simplest one to the most complex one. For example, if you do like of baking, it is not be surprised if you want to keep a database that is containing with the types of cookies that you know about how to make it and list the names of your friends who will be given the cookies. From that simplest instance, you can imagine that there is a database which contains with two lists; a list of cookies and a list of the name your friend who you will give the cookies. However, if you are a professional baker, you might have more databases with a complex database. There, you will list many things that are related with your need to organize the things. You will add a list of customers, a list of orders, a list of prices, a list of the products that have been sold, and many more. The more lists you add in your database, the more complex it will be.

 

In the Access, the list will be a little more complex than what you writhe on the paper. The Access stores the data lists in a tool named tables that allow you to store there for more detailed information. Let's use like the example above. The name lists of database in the professional baker have been expanded to enter the other relevant information on the baker's special friends such as what cookies they like, their date of birth, and many more.
