dBase Dropped in Access 2013 but Finally Restored in Microsoft Access 2016

DBF is one of the file format which is used in the database software. The expansion of DBF is Database File. This file is mainly used in DBase II and it is also continued in dBase IV. Also, this DBF files can be opened in Microsoft access and Excel. This dBase file acts as a base for all things of data. It has multiple records and they are stored in the array. DBF in Access 2013
DBF files are not supported in access 2013. Hence it cannot be linked or imported in access 2013. To work with the dBASE files, it is important to upgrade office for the 365 subscriptions. Many DBF files are maintained in access 2013. The applications which originally use the files DBF files are written in a clipper. Access database has simple database access which is joined together with the individuals and it is also linked with the DBF files. Office 2013 needs a link for the data with access 2013.

In the last 20 years, the Microsoft customers highly depend on the Microsoft access for the critical business applications. In access 2016, Microsoft returned the dBase file to support access. Microsoft removed the dBASE files from access 2013, and it is returned in access 2016 because of the overwhelming feedback from the users (Shanahan, 2017).

Microsoft responded the request of users to support dBASE files in access. This new feature is used to link and import the data's which are stored in the dBase files in access. This dBase files are supported in access 2016. But it is only available for the 365 subscribers. The users inside the office will get this feature then it will be followed by the personal and commercial subscribers. Microsoft also encourages the users to provide feedback, suggestions and comments through user voice.

Uses of dBASE
It is a specific software product which is used to create and manipulate the relational database. It is initially used in the products of dBase and now it is available in different forms of the database. It is the first successful database system for PC's. The old versions of dBase includes dBase II, III, III, IV and III plus. The old version of dBase is used to create database and data search or command lines instructions in DOS. dBase commands are used to write programs to do the specific tasks. It is also easy to run this program. This program can be used to customize the inventory, customer list and invoicing system of the company. If the program works properly then it can be run by anyone to know about the dBase commands. This Dbase language is originated from the software product of dBase. Different types of dBase versions are created by the software manufactures. But the name dBase is associated with all the versions.
